Scope and Content

Includes an image of L&YR class 27 0-6-0 locomotive no. 1300, as preserved at the Ribble steam railway, Lancashire (CP384/14/8/1). CP384/14/8/9 shows an unidentified BR class 3MT 2-6-2t locomotive pulling a passenger service boiler-first with a 4-wheel goods wagon coupled to the front. CP384/14/8/12 shows Kirkham Junction station and sidings. CP384/14/8/19, 21, 22, 33 & 49 show Lytham station which was closed in 1863 and used as a goods yard until 1965.
