Scope and Content

Two closes, pieces, or parcels of ground in Snaith, called the Paddocks and Paddocks lands, containing together 4 acres, having a road to north and south, the lands of Charles Yarburgh to the east, and those of John Frickley and William Middleton to the west, now in the tenancy of Mr John Latham.

Thomas Thompson of Armyn, gent., Gervas Seaton of Reedness, parish of Whitgift, gent., William Kirby of Snaith, chapman and butcher, William Wharrey of Ryther, yeoman, and William Vaux of Cawood, grocer, executors of the will of Robert Wharrey of Cawood, gent., deceased; Charles Yarburgh of Heslington, esq.
For a year, at peppercorn rent.
b. Release.
Thomas Thompson of Armyn, gent., and Gervas Seaton of Reedness, parish of Whitgift, gent.; William Kirby of Snaith, chapman and butcher, and Grace his wife; William Wharrey of Ryther, yeoman, and William Vaux of Cawood, grocer, executors of the will of Robert Wharrey as above; Joseph Fisher of Pollington, parish of Snaith, gent.; Charles Yarburgh of Heslington, esq.; Robert Moore of Snaith, gent.
Refers to mortgage and a lease and release of 24, 25 July 1778, the release being between William Kirby and John Daltry of Gowdall, chapman, of the first part, Thomas Thompson and Gervas Seaton of the second part, and the creditors of Kirby and Daltry of the third part, assigning the equity of redemption of 161 to Thompson and Seaton in order to pay off the creditors. Robert Wharrey is now dead, and Thompson and Seaton have already sold the lands at auction to Joseph Fisher, as agent for Yarburgh.
Covenants for unencumbrance, peaceful possession, and to make a fine to secure Yarburgh's title.
Vaux transfers lands to Moore as trustees for Yarburgh.

£119 18s. from Yarburgh to Thompson and Seaton.
5s. from Yarburgh to Fisher.
5s. from Yarburgh to Kirby.
5s. from Moore to Vaux.
