Scope and Content

Henry Bland of York, banker, William Cooper of York, wine merchant, and John Dales of York, esq. and alderman (the devisees in trust named in the will of Richard Simpson, late of York, Esq., and alderman, deceased); Alfred Simpson of New Malton, Yorks., gent.; to Henry Yarburgh of Heslington, Yorks., Esq.
Half of a farm and cottage in Langwith, Yorks., containing 383 acres, late in the tenure of William and Richard Woodcock, and now in the possession of Henry Yarburgh; half of Langwith Woods, with the soil and buildings belonging to them, except for the woods growing there, which are reserved to the Dean and Chapter of St Peter's, York, and for the messuage and closes of land formerly let to Sir Francis Goodrick, then late of Lincoln's Inn, Middx., knight, and John Brears, formerly of York, alderman.
Remainder of a lease of 21 years.
£1,790 (paid to Alfred Simpson); 5s. each (paid to Henry Bland, William Cooper and John Dales); 10s. per annum (to be paid to the Dean and Chapter of St. Peter's, York).
