Admission of Sarah Scott of York, spinster, following surrender made out of court on 10 April 1807 by Faith Hay of Monkgate, in the suburbs of York, widow and devisee according to the will of John Hay, esq., amd alderman of York, deceased, Mary Hay of Monkgate, spinster, daughter of John and Faith Hay and devisee under his will, and John Hay of Monkgate, gent., eldest son and heir at law of John Hay, deceased.

Surrender by way of mortgage, for £500 with interest at 5%, repayable on 10 October next without any deductions, thereafter to be resurrendered to Faith Hay during her widowhood and after her death or future marriage to persons as nominated or directed by Mary Hay, regardless of whether she is married or not, or as willed by her, failing which direction to uses of her and her heirs and assigns.
