Gilbert Noel Sale (b 1897) worked as Assistant Conservator, Forests, Cyprusfrom 1922, Director (later Conservator), Mauritius from 1928, Conservator,Palestine from 1936 and Trinidad from 1946. He was a member of the committeeof enquiry into the economic state of Rodriguez, 1929 and Chairman, thePalestine Soil Conservation Board, 1940-1946.
