Taylor Family Papers

Papers of Sir Henry Taylor and his family, consisting of:  

• Correspondence, 1798-1890, including letters to and from Sir Henry Taylor and his wife, Theodosia Alicia; letters to Ida and Una Taylor; letters selected as autographs, probably by Ida Taylor
• Diaries and notebooks of Sir Henry Taylor, 1823-70
• Literary and other papers, 1815-95

The Taylor family includes Sir Henry Taylor (1800-1886), author, and his family. Details are given in the Dictionary of National Biography.

The papers were bequeathed to the Library by Ida A.A. Taylor, daughter of Sir Henry, in 1930.
