Algar Ronald Ward Robertson (1902-1975) worked as Assistant Treasurer, Gold Coast, 1929-1936 and Deputy Treasurer, British Guiana, 1936-1939. He was Financial Secretary in Fiji, 1940-1948, Trinidad and Tobago, 1948-1953, Nigeria, 1953-1954, and the Federation of Nigeria, 1954-1956. Awarded the CBE, 1948 and CMG, 1953.
