Thomas Lydyat (d 1646), of New College, Oxford, was chronographer to Henry Prince of Wales.

Dr William Coward, whose mother was a sister of Dr Lamphire, presented the manuscripts to the Bodleian in 1695.

Custodial History
When Lydyat died in 1646 his manuscripts passed to Dr John Lamphire, who died in 1688.
