HENLEY SECONDARY MODERN SCHOOL

Scope and Content

Henley Secondary Modern School was created in 1948 as a result of the introduction of secondary education under the 1944 Education Act. The school was located on the site of the former National School, later Senior School on Gravel Hill (please see S128/8 and S128/9 for records of this school). In 1960 the school moved to Gillotts Lane and was renamed Gillotts School (please see S128/13 for records of this school).

The records were deposited as part of Acc 3139 in September 1990. Catalogued by Alison Smith in May 2016.
