LETTERS TO H.K. CORNISH FROM JOHN KEBLE

Scope and Content

The Introduction to the Catalogue explains how Cornish and Keble came to know each other. All the letters are in Keble's own hand. In the letters below, Cornish is referred to as HKC and Keble as JK.

Some letters from Keble, which HKC's grandson H.W. Cornish used in some articles published in 1934 (see F3/4 below) were deposited with Corpus Christi College, Oxford. Transcripts (not always complete) of these may be found at F3/4/MS1. In the ensuing list, cross-references are made to these transcripts.

For transcripts of four letters from JK to HKC written in 1824 and 1825, see F3/4/MS1/1-4.
