Scope and Content

Printed pamphlet, entitled 'Memorandum on the Report of the Departmental Committee on the Training and Employment of Midwives', published by the authority of the Central Midwives Board (1929), discussing recommendations to improve midwifery services, with particular references to the training of midwives, lectures offered to pupil midwives, post-certificate training, the practice of midwives, the inspection of midwives and the management of institutions for training midwives, also including lists of the board members and appointing bodies of the Departmental Committee.
