Case register Lilian Carter

Ms register of cases attended by Lilian Carter during her time training and then as a practicing midwife in Herefordshire, Gloucestershire and then around the area of Plumsted in London (31 January 1938-12 June 1957), including the name, address and age of each patient, as well as details of the number of previous labours and miscarriages, the presentation of the infant on birth, the date and hour of the birth, the sex and whether the child was born living or dead, whether the child was premature, the name of the doctor if called, if there were any complications during or after labour, the date of her last visit, the condition of the mother and child on her last visit and then any further remarks, such as the administration of drugs and whether forceps were used during the delivery.

Lilian Carter (fl. 1920-1960) was a midwife who trained in 1938. She went on to practice in Herefordshire, Gloucestershire and then around the area of Plumsted in London.
