Administrative / Biographical History
The Union of Bookmakers' Employees (TUBE) was founded in 1939, but suspended its activities during the Second World War. It reformed in 1946. In 1971 it transferred its engagements to the Transport and General Workers' Union, but remained a distinct section within that union.
