River Association for Freight and Transport (RAFT)

Scope and Content

Correspondence and papers.

Administrative / Biographical History

The River Association for Freight and Transport was formed in 2000 by the Association of Master Lightermen and Barge Owners (Port of London), which merged into it on 1 January 2001. In most ways RAFT was a successor body to the AMLBO, although it was legally a new organisation. It was established "to encompass various interests for lighterage and related commercial interests in the Port of London".

Arrangement

These papers were loose and were artificially arranged in chronological order.
