Custodial History

These records were transferred from Clapton Baths in the London Borough of Hackney to the Hackney Archives Department. At least one of the honorary general secretaries of the Institute had been the superintendent of Hackney Baths. The bulk of the records were destroyed by a later superintendent before they could be transferred. The surviving records were transferred to the Modern Records Centre in 1988.
