Council of Civil Service Unions (CCSU)

This collection includes: council, committee and miscellaneous circulated papers, 1983-2003; records concerning GCHQ Campaign, 1983-1996, and pay and conditions; campaign and information literature, 1980s-1990s; Whitley bulletins, 1981-1994.

This body was formed in 1980 by the reconstitution of the Staff Side of the National Whitley Council for the Civil Service.

The Centre also holds records of the Staff Side of the National Whitley Council for the Civil Service and copies of Staff Side and CCSU records in the papers of Norman Jacobs, an official of the Civil and Public Services Association. It also holds records of individual predecessors of the Public and Commercial Services Union, as well as the PCSU itself.
