The collection comprises of papers relating to the Northern Sea Route

Administrative / Biographical History

Mikhail Ivanovich Belov was born in 1916. He attended Leningrad University from 1937 onwards. In 1947 he joined the Arctic Research Institute in Leningrad. He produced several works on the northern sea route, fur trading in Magazeya and the life of Dezhnev. He died in 1981
