Report produced by the British Colonial Office which provides comprehensive details of developments in the colony for the years 1952 and 1953. The information recorded is wide ranging, encompassing all matters which affect the day to day lives of those who live on the islands. Included are details of population, occupations, currency and banking, communications and many others specifics in addition to a general review. A considerable amount of statistical data is included, although it is noted that due to the "scattered nature" of the territory it has been impossible to gather together the full statistical data for 1953.
