Letter from John Finch to Robert Owen

Scope and Content

Finch opens this manuscript letter by offering a place to stay for Owen at his son's house when he visits Liverpool before his proposed trip to Dublin.

Finch writes of his wish to see Owen regarding his intention of transferring the lease for Little Bentley [Tytherley, Hampshire] from Mr Galpin[?] to a Mr [George] Bracher; asks Owen to defer from making this transfer until he seen Mr [William] Pare who "represents the interest of our poor ? friend Bate who was party to that Lease in conjunction with yourself [Owen] and [William] Galpin".
