Scope and Content

Manuscript letter, written by the former President of the No.3 Branch [of the Association of All Classes of All Nations]. In the letter Fogg, refers to the printed pamphlet which accompanies it and remarks he hopes Owen can advise and assist with the publishing of it.

The pamphlet itself is given the rather lengthy title ' The Way to Establish Order and Happiness' wherein is described The Grand Order of Architecture and the Complete System of Railway Communication for Nations, Empires and Republics', and is credited to Baron Victor Rothschild. In the letter Fogg alludes to a measure of duplicity on his part with the authenticity of the title and author when writing of adding "a little Royal nonsense and a little Religious twaddle" in an attempt to induce people so impressed with such to buy the pamphlet.
