Scope and Content

In this manuscript letter Cuddon writes that he is concerned to hear that Owen is to deliver a farewell speech; offers his services to Owen.

Talk is then of a personal nature; Cuddon's daughter has married a well-heeled man and moved to France but his business was declared bankrupt and he left for America; Cuddon thinks of giving up selling furniture and leaving for America.
