Letter from Robert Cooper to Robert Owen

Scope and Content

In this manuscript letter Cooper refers to a number of lectures he has given for the "good old cause"; Nottingham, Derby, Dewsbury, Heckmondwicke. Manchester, Bradford and Blackburn have all been visited by Cooper, and he writes of being well received.

Further discussion is of the opposition to Owen's views from the clergy, with Cooper explaining that his lecture at Dewsbury was in direct response to one particular lecture on the "repudiation" of Owen's ideas.
