In this manuscript letter a plea is made for Owen to go to Liverpool and put an end to the "strange doings" which are going occur there. The author notes that these "doings" are conceived in opposition to the "real education of all classes & to the Sacred freedom of thought and discussion". It is argued that Owen alone can prove that Liverpool cannot have a different law than London and noted that A[lexander] Campbell must be allowed his Sunday meetings in Liverpool free from interference.
The letter closes with the author noting much of his time is taken with his favourite hobby of writing as the "Student of Realities".
