In this manuscript letter White writes of his desire of entering one of Owen's "Social Communities" once he has finished his term serving in the armed forces. He explains he still has 5 1/2 years to serve and is writing now as he wishes to know the best manner to educate his children in preparation for them joining a community.
A reply from Owen would not only benefit White, but also several "Social Soldiers".
