Letter from James Rigby to Robert Owen

Scope and Content

This manuscript letter opens with Rigby informing Owen of the tasks he has carried out on his behalf. These include posting Owen pamphlets, getting copies of the Reasoner printed and having to forge new relationships with someone at the Belgium Embassy [so he can forward Owen's works to the King of Belgium].

Rigby writes that Robert Cooper requested he try to coerce Owen to write an article for Cooper's paper, the [London] Investigator. However, Rigby warns that Cooper does not wish it to introduce Owen's "Spiritual Friends of the Next World" to his readers.
