Manuscript letter acknowledging receipt of Owen's communication which "does not add any information to that which Her Majesty's Government is already in possession...". The letter goes on to remind Owen that having recently met with the Earl of Aberdeen, he should have taken the opportunity to verbally express any facts or opinions he wished. In conclusion, Sir Robert Peel states that he sees no advantage in personal communication with Owen.
