Manuscript letter asking Owen if he will enquire of the late Duke of Kent, through the medium of Spiritualism, when the correspondent's cousin, Elanor McDuff, will come to know her full spiritual power. Note: Owen knew the Duke of Kent in real life and claimed that not only was he favourable to his system, but that he had now "returned" to reassure and guide him ("Independent spirits: Spiritualism and English plebeians, 1850-1910" - Barrow, Logie. 1986: 23).
