Letter from Robert Owen to James Rigby

Scope and Content

Manuscript letter informing Rigby that he will be sending him a parcel in the mroning. He goes on to say that Mrs Twort is ill and therefore isn't able to assist him in making up the parcel at present. Owen gives Rigby instructions for the distribution of the parcel's contents to various international and domestic dignitaries.

Owen says he has received a letter from Mr Duncombe saying that he has presented the petition [to the House of Commons?] from the public meeting in May. Owen says he also sent the petition to Mr Bright, Mr Roebuck, the Duke of Newcastle, the Marquis of Lansdowne and Lord Brougham but he has not heard from them.
