The presentation book celebrates the Jubilee of William Carnelley in services rendered to Rylands and Sons [1840-1890]. Internally, the item contains illuminated pages congratulating William Carnelley on 50 years of service, with the opposite pages depicting various watercolours of factories/ warehouses in Manchester, London,Wigan, and Lancashire. The presentation is signed by members of the Brethren of the fraternal club, Reuben Spencer amongst them. The external cover of the volume is elaborately tooled with decorative borders and the initials W.C.
