Autograph letter to Hugo in which Jubinal, after thanking him profusely for his letter of 1 May, expatiates on the admiration Hugo has inspired in him ever since, as a student in 1830, he joined Victor Pavie and 'the whole of David's Studio' at the Théâtre Français before the première of Hernani. He finally urges Hugo to make use of the Revue du Midi for the propagation of his ideas.
