Scope and Content

File relating to the University's athletics grounds in Kenworthy Lane, Wythenshawe in south Manchester. These opened in 1935 on land leased from Manchester Corporation, and were an extension to main grounds at the Firs. The file includes negotiations over the lease and accommodation arrangements including the buildings of a temporary pavilion.
