From C. Wallace to Rev. Baker. Wallace first thanks Baker for his pleasant stay in Bolton and proceeds by saying that he has put himself on the higher subscription of the widow's 'fund'. Wallace applied to the secretary Mr. Whitehead and found that it would cost £96. Mr. Whitehead referred him to certain rules of sanctions which require a general vote of the members. Whitehead suggested that Wallace might instead offer the money to the treasurer, Mr. Heywood. He goes on to say that there had not been a vote for Aspland, Rayland, Wright, and Poyerty. A meeting of the coal committee is mentioned.
