From Millbrook, near Prescot, Lancashire, to Revd. George Marsden in Sunderland, Co. Durham, regretting that he will be unable to visit his friends in the north. He has been asked by the Conference to visit the Channel Islands in May, and he has also committed himself to visiting Manchester and Leeds in April.

Clarke has not forgotten Marsden's plans fora Bible Dictionary. Once Clarke has completed his Commentary, he will be able to use the experience gained to good effect in writing such a work.

Dr. Hamilton is close to death, and Samuel Bradburn's condition is very upsetting-"such ruins in a vast intellect I have never witnessed".

Mr. W Taylor was recently accused of overcharging by Taylor, Oats, and Reeve, but happily he has been completely exonerated.
