Scope and Content

From Yarmouth, Norfolk, to the Revd Charles Atmore in Leeds, Yorkshire, apologizing for his failure to reply earlier.

Coke will send for the three African missionaries to meet him in Sheffield, Yorkshire, before they sail for Sierra Leone in September, and he thanks Atmore for looking after them. He specifies the clothes that they should be provided with and he asks that they write to Robert Carr Brackenbury.

Coke applauds Atmore's school plan, and refers to his own hopes of setting up dwelling houses for retired preachers and widows with a small endowment for each.

He will open the new chapel in Norwich on Tuesday.
