Surgeons

This sub-series contains material relating to individual surgeons, and in particular, orthopaedic surgeons. Some of the items relate to a large number of surgeons, including files of obituaries, lantern slides, and files of slide lists and photographs. There are also four files of material relating to particular individuals, namely Sir John Charnley, Professor Vittorio Putti, Robert Bayley Osgood and Philip D. Wilson. These files contain a variety of documents, including correspondence, obituaries and biographies, and scientific offprints.
