Scope and Content

Consists of: The National Reformer: Radical Advocate and Freethought Journal, May 1 1892; The Personal Rights Journal, May 1892; and a published "letter to Mr Gladstone in regard to his hostile pamphlet re Woman's Suffrage" from Lady Florence Dixie, dated 22 April 1892.

Both journals contain articles relating to Gladstone's arguments against the Parliamentary Franchise (Extension to Women) Bill and to Florence Dixie's letter of response which was read at a meeting held at St James's Hall on 26 April 1892 in support of the same Bill.

The journals are sewn together and the letter appears to have originally been included with them, although it is now detached.
