Administrative / Biographical History

Walsworth-Bell gained her medical education at the London University, qualifying in 1971, and later gaining the MSc in Social Medicine. She was senior registrar at St. Thomas's Hospital and at the North West Regional Health Authority. In 1981 Walsworth-Bell was appointed regional consultant in public health medicine at the Regional Health Authority, and was also associate lecturer at the University of Manchester. She was later consultant in public health medicine in Staffordshire.
