Todd, known as Frank or 'T.F.' was an eminent gynaecologist in Manchester. He was born in 1908 and gained his medical education at Guy's Hospital, where he was house surgeon and demonstrator of anatomy. Todd was resident surgical officer at Preston Infirmary and house surgeon to Christie Hospital before being appointed gynaecologist to Hope Hospital and Crumpsall Hospital and honorary assistant gynaecological surgeon to Salford Royal Hospital. Todd was widely known for his work on cancer of the cervix and was awarded two Hunterian Lectureships. He was a member of the North of England Gynaecological and Obstetrical Society and Manchester Medico-Legal Society. He died in France while on duty with the RAMC in a motor accident on 2 December 1939.
