MB ChB Manch 1899.

Snape was born in Manchester on 16 August 1875 and was educated at Manchester Grammar School and Owens College. In the First World War he was a captain in the RAMC, and was anaesthetist to the 2nd Western General Hospital in Salford. Snape was also anaesthetist to Manchester Children's Hospital, honorary physician to Salford Royal Hospital and visiting surgeon to Southport Infirmary. Snape wrote a number of papers on anaesthesia and was a member of Manchester Medical and Clinical Societies. He died on 6 April 1943.
