Savatard studied medicine at the London School of Medicine for Women. She was house surgeon at Manchester and Salford Hospital for Diseases of the Skin before settling in general practice in Manchester. Savatard was a member of Manchester Dermatological Society. She was married to the dermatologist Louis Charles Arthur Savatard (see below).
