MB ChB Aberdeen 1926.

Saunders gained his medical education at Aberdeen University and was house surgeon at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. He worked in general practice s until 1939 when he was appointed medical officer to Manchester Collieries Ltd. When the company was nationalised, Saunders became medical officer to the Manchester area of the Regional Coal Board, and was appointed divisional medical officer in 1952. Saunders died on 20 January 1959, aged 62.
