MB ChB Vict Manch 1899.

Aldred was educated at Manchester Grammar School, he matriculated at the London University in 1893, returning to Manchester to commence his medical work at Owens College. After qualifying in 1899 he became house surgeon at Barrow Infirmary until March 1900, when he volunteered for service in South Africa and was appointed as civil surgeon. While in this position he contracted enteric fever and died on 1st January 1901 at Kroonstadt, Cape Province.
