Letter

Scope and Content

From Shrewsbury. It would have given Hill and her husband [Thomas] pleasure to have visited Fletcher, but their stay in Shropshire is short and their engagements many. The bearer of this letter is their nephew William Eden - his conversion occurred three years ago and gave his family much pleasure. Spiritual matters are discussed. William has an ardent desire to visit Fletcher and talk with her for half an hour - he was appointed by the last Conference to labour in the Preston circuit, but because of fatigue and the effect of sleeping in a damp bed, his health has been affected, although they hope that recovery is not far away so that he can return to his duties.

Her regards should be passed to [Mary] Tooth. [Thomas] Hill also sends his best wishes
