Scope and Content

From [Anne] Conibear in Gloucester to [Mary] Fletcher in Madeley. She was grateful for the guinea which Fletcher sent - nine shillings more than the charge. She shall use the extra money to help two poor widows here in Gloucester. Conibear has also told her husband George that she wished to send a little to Witney to be distributed among her poor friends and neighbours at Christmas in accordance with her custom. She did not however wish to do it without involving him, lest he should 'lose the pleasure of ye reward'.

Spiritual matters are discussed in detail. Reference is made to the preachers being asked to people's houses which had not been happening before.
