Ughtred Kay-Shuttleworth [son]. Letter to Sir James Phillips Kay-Shuttleworth.

He thanks his father for his comments on his Hastings speech. He talks of the installation of a large safe in the library [Gawthorpe]. The work, involving several men, was supervised by Mr Chubb. He says he has cleared a lot of papers out of the library. He discusses matters relating to the colliery.
