From James Rylands [to JHN]. A reply to JHN's circular requesting information upon special collections of books in Lancashire and Cheshire [see also JHN/1/26, 1/30, 1/35, 1/54, 1/65/2, 1/71/1-2, 1/76, 1/78, 1/88, 1/104, 1/116]. Rylands replies that his library consists largely of works on heraldry, genealogy and local history, he also advises JHN that his brother, W.H. Rylands, and his father, T[homas] G. Rylands [see JHN/1/104], also possess important libraries.
