Folder contains Bible study notes, with the relevant chapters and themes often listed at the top of the sheet. Also included are preparation for talks, seminars and workshops; a printed copy of a conference paper and a newspaper comment article by Guy.

  • Account of a ladies’ weekend at Braeside in Feb 1989, at which Joy Guy gave a speech, along with handwritten notes on subjects including women and maturity, questions for a group activity and a talk on the objective of encouragement. 14 sheets.
  • Papers relating to a shared conference address at which Joy Guy spoke on the subject of marriage and divorce. Includes a typed letter from the Secretary of the Graduates’ Fellowship from Jan 1973, asking Guy to share an address with Sir Frederick Catherwood and describe current trends in marriage and divorce. The remaining ten sheets include handwritten notes on the family, plans for three seminars and a workshop. 12 sheets.
  • Papers relating to an East Anglian Women’s Conference entitled ‘Studies in Luke’ held at Hengrave Hall, Hengrave in March 1976, at which Joy Guy presented two sessions. Included are a printed timetable of events, and handwritten notes on Guy’s two sessions on ‘GOD in control of History’ and ‘GOD in control of our Minds’. 13 sheets.
  • Notes entitled ‘Things I wanted to do but couldn’t’; two sheets on ‘disappointments’ entitled Swindon: June 2001; and a printed copy of an article by T.D. Jakes on ‘The Quest for Spiritual Maturity’, from CHARISMA, (April 1996). 5 sheets.
