Arrangement
Items JACK/4/1/1-2 were originally listed as 2/1/1-2 (part of the Robert Jackson correspondence). The letters are clearly dated 1811, a date which is strongly supported by their contents, and must therefore post-date Robert Jackson, who died in 1786. The "colonel Jackson" of the address is undoubtedly A.C. Jackson, who held that rank before his promotion to Major General in 1813.
