Newsletters of the EMI Scanner Users' Group. The newsletters were produced by Chris Thompson, a computing systems engineer at the Montreal Neurological Institute in Quebec and enabled exchange of experience and information among scanner users. The first newsletter was produced on 19 November 1973 and subsequent newsletters were produced on a seemingly ad hoc basis. The June 1974 newsletter refers to the Computed Tomography Technical Users' group. This file contains four newsletters, the last of these being dated 27 November 1974, although there may well have been subsequent newsletters produced. There is also a letter to Chris Thompson from Dr Saul Harrow at Massachusetts General Hospital, dated 13 November 1973, giving a report on the CT scanner at that hospital in the hope of stimulating the formation of a users' group.
