Two typescript copy letters from Max Clements Richter to E. Joseph, bookseller. The earliest concerns five Gissing autograph letters. In the second Richter explains that he has been collecting Gissingana since the 1930s, and lists what is left of his collection for sale, items including four Chicago Tribune short stories purchased from Alfred Gissing.
